By downloading or using PriceScout, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part, you may not use the app.
1. About PriceScout
PriceScout is a grocery price crowdsourcing mobile application that helps users find the cheapest prices at local stores in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Michigan. The app is operated by PriceScout ("we," "us," or "our"), contactable at tasaya.app@gmail.com.

2. Use of the App
You may use PriceScout for personal, non-commercial purposes only. By using PriceScout, you agree not to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent price reports
Attempt to interfere with, hack, or disrupt the app or its servers
Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from the app without permission
Use the app in any way that could harm other users or third parties
3. User-Submitted Content
PriceScout allows users to submit grocery prices and receipt photos. By submitting content, you confirm that:

The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
You have the right to share any images you upload
You grant PriceScout a non-exclusive license to display and use your submissions to improve the app
Price information is provided for reference only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any prices shown in the app.

4. Intellectual Property
All original content, design, and code in PriceScout — excluding user-submitted content — is owned by PriceScout and protected by applicable copyright laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties
PriceScout is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Prices shown in the app are crowdsourced and may not reflect current in-store prices.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PriceScout's liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid to use the app. Since PriceScout is currently free, this limit is $0.00.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or financial loss resulting from your use of the app.

7. Privacy
Your use of PriceScout is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at tasaya.app@gmail.com. We will attempt to resolve any dispute through informal negotiation for at least 30 days before initiating arbitration.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Michigan, United States, under applicable arbitration rules. We will cover arbitration fees if they are deemed excessive. If a dispute proceeds in court, it will take place in Michigan.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan.

9. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you at least 30 days before changes take effect. Security-related updates and changes required by court order may take effect immediately upon notification.

Continued use of PriceScout after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
